Skill level: Main trail is easy terrain, side trails are intermediate to difficult and always meet up with main trail
Scenery: Excellent views of Silverwood Lake and valleys below
General weather: Potential for high winds, hot in the summer and moderate in the winter
Amenities: No restrooms, garbage cans, or water

Cleghorn OHV trails run along the ridge of mountains spanning from the 15 to
the 138 and to Silverwood Lake. It also connects to
Trestles OHV area by riding to the 138 highway,
crossing the highway, riding up to the 2nd set of railroad tracks, and riding west (left)
for about 3 miles next to the railroad tracks to Trestles / Baldy Mesa staging area. The
path is poorly marked but is legal. cleghorn has about 25 miles of trails on the main road,
and dozens of smaller and more difficult side trails that meet up with the main trail every
mile or so. There are great views of Silverwood Lake and the valleys below.
Directions:
From LA area:
- Take 15N and exit 138 East (right on 138) *Note: This is the last food and gas until Cleghorn.
- Take 138 East approximately 3 miles, turn right after the road straightens out near railroad tracks at OHV sign.
- Park directly off the 138 highway or drive ~1/2 mile up the road to the main parking area
